ShoreTel Communicator Configuration
How To Configure ShoreTel Communicator

ShoreTel Communicator is the Windows application that helps you get the most out of the ShoreTel VOIP (Voice Over IP) phone on your desk. This application helps you use your phone by allowing you to control your phone from a Windows interface. It allows you to view call history, listen to voicemail messages, look up phone numbers for other California Western employees and place calls to them, and perform various other common phone functions.

Before you can use ShoreTel Communicator for the first time you must configure it. This takes only a few minutes.

  1. Click on the ShoreTel Communicator icon.  If you don't see it on your Windows Desktop or Taskbar, click on Start -> All Programs -> ShoreTel -> ShoreTel Communicator.  You should see the dialogue box below.  Click Next

  6. Click Finish in the dialogue box below.  We recommend that you do not check the box next to "Start ShoreTel Communicator..." as this is known to cause occasional problems with Outlook.
